Child Care Subsidy balancing confirmation

Each year, all families must confirm their income and CCS balancing, with DESE. If you do not action this, your CCS may stop. Resources from Family Services are on the DESE website, to explain and guide you through the action required, including:

Positive Parenting Program is one of the most effective evidence-based parenting programs in the world, backed up by over 35 years of research. Triple P gives parents simple and practical strategies to help them build strong, healthy relationships, confidently manage their children’s behaviour and prevent problems developing.


This Handbook enables people of all ages to develop strategies to help them deal with difficult situations, and covers such issue as: bullying at school, personal safety, safety in the home, first aid, safety online, fire prevention, road safety, safety outdoors, healthy living and drug & alcohol awareness.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Australia is a free book gifting program devoted to inspiring a love of reading in the hearts of children everywhere. Each month, enrolled children receive a high-quality, age-appropriate book in the mail, free of charge. Children receive books from birth to age five.


Learning Links is running free webinars for parents on some very useful topics, such as supporting reading and maths at home, supporting kids with anxiety and depression, building resilience, and making important transitions.


Quirky Kid Psychology Clinic provides great resources, articles, workshops and psychology services aimed toward families with children and adolescents.


Beyond Blue’s Be You Fact Sheets help you explore and gain knowledge on mental health and wellbeing topics, and to share information and ideas with your learning community.


Legal Aid provides factsheets and resources about Child Protection and Children’s court.


The Sydney Children's Hospital in Randwick provides children’s health, wellbeing and development information, and contact details for specialist clinics and services.


Learning Links provides counselling, parenting support and education programs to parents, carers and families.


The Kids Helpline site provides child-friendly resources, and 24 hour call and chat support for children dealing with various issues.


Bayside Women’s Shelter in South East Sydney responds to women and families in crisis, and works with the community towards education and prevention of domestic and family violence.
